چکیده

Photomediated immunotherapy explored to combine the anti-cancer effect of phototherapy with immune enhancement ability immunotherapy, and shown great prospects for cancer treatment strategies. However, photomediated triggered antitumor immunity through release tumor antigens damage-associated molecular patterns from necrotic cells was not enough mighty improve therapeutic benefits due immunosuppressive microenvironments. Herein, a tumor-targeted nano-adjuvant [email protected](OH)3-Poly(I:C)/IR-820 therapy metastasis inhibition designed prepared. The intrinsic immunomodulatory effects their simultaneously trigger antigen release, thereby reversing immunosuppression achieving potent augmented therapy, were explored. results proved that multifunctional combined photothermal, photodynamic, could effectively treat breast had by enhancing anti-tumor immunomodulation, it should have application potential in cancer.

Can Targeting Stroma Pave the Way to Enhanced Antitumor Immunity and Immunotherapy of Solid Tumors?

Solid tumors are complex organ-like structures. The potential of normal neighboring cells to contribute to the initiation, progression, and metastasis of epithelial-derived carcinomas has long been appreciated. However, the role of host cells has proven complex. Through multiple local and systemic mechanisms, nontransformed host cells can promote transition from a tumor-resistant to tumor-permi...

The path to reactivation of antitumor immunity and checkpoint immunotherapy.

Cancer immunology has recently made major therapeutic inroads that represent clinical application of basic insights into mechanisms that govern immunity against tumors. Research into fundamental elements of T-cell and natural killer-cell biology, including the basis of antigen recognition, activation, proliferation, and survival, has informed the design of new therapeutic approaches to augment ...

Engineering antitumor immunity by T-cell adoptive immunotherapy.

The adoptive transfer of antigen-specific T cells has been used successfully to treat experimental tumors in animal models and viral infections in humans, but harnessing the exquisite specificity and potency of T cells to treat human malignancy has proven challenging. The efforts to use T cells to treat patients with cancer have often been informative in identifying limitations that must be ove...

Enhanced cellular immunity in macaques following a novel peptide immunotherapy.

Advances in treating and preventing AIDS depend on understanding how human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is eliminated in vivo and on the manipulation of effective immune responses to HIV. During the development of assays quantifying the elimination of fluorescent autologous cells coated with overlapping 15-mer simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) or HIV-1 peptides, we made a remarkable observati...

Oncolytic Immunotherapy: Dying the Right Way is a Key to Eliciting Potent Antitumor Immunity

Oncolytic viruses (OVs) are novel immunotherapeutic agents whose anticancer effects come from both oncolysis and elicited antitumor immunity. OVs induce mostly immunogenic cancer cell death (ICD), including immunogenic apoptosis, necrosis/necroptosis, pyroptosis, and autophagic cell death, leading to exposure of calreticulin and heat-shock proteins to the cell surface, and/or released ATP, high...
